>International Development Research Center (IDRC) -- Canadian International Food Security Research Fund 2013  
>The Canadian International Food Security Research Fund invites concept 
notes for research to improve food production and distribution, and the 
health and nutritional dimensions of food security in developing 
countries.  Grants will be made to partnerships of organizations in 
Canada with organizations in eligible developing countries.  
International organizations can apply as collaborators.  Project budgets should range from CAD$1 million to CAD$5 million for up to 30 months.

>Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences -- International Awards for Young Agricultural Researchers 2013  
>JIRCAS makes awards of US$5 thousand each for up to three young 
agricultural researchers in developing countries who contribute to 
outstanding research and development in agriculture, forestry, fisheries and related themes. Candidates need to be younger than age 40.  The 
deadline for applications is 14 June 2013. Link

>CRDF Global -- Research on Zoonotic Diseases in the Middle East and North Africa  
>CRDF Global will make grants to early-career scientists in the Middle 
East and North Africa for research on zoonotic infectious diseases.  
Applications are invited from research teams led by an early career 
scientist representing an institute from the following MENA countries: 
Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, 
Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, and Yemen.  Grants will provide up to US$30 thousand in support of one-year projects.  The 
application deadline is 14 June 2013. Link

>Crawford Fund -- Australian Support for Asia-Pacific Research in Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry  
>The Crawford Fund Fellowship supports a scientist in agriculture, 
fisheries, or forestry from the Asia-Pacific countries for additional 
training in Australia. The Fellowship is offered annually to an 
agricultural scientist below the age of 35 years in one the following 
countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, Cambodia, East Timor, Fiji, 
Indonesia, Laos, Nepal, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, 
Tonga, Tuvalu and Kiribati, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.  Candidates need to be nominated by an Australian citizen and the head of the candidate's 
department. The closing date for nominations is 29 June 2013. Link

>Swiss Forum for International Agricultural Research -- SFIAR Award 2013  
>SFIAR annually awards a prize to scientists working at or in 
association with a Swiss institution in agricultural research for 
development.  The SFIAR Award 2013 is CHF 10 thousand for the best team 
project, and CHF 1 thousand for the best master's thesis. The

>French Government and Thailand Government -- Program SIAM 2014  
>France and Thailand administer SIAM to promote French-Thai research 
collaboration in subject areas that include energy, ecology and 
biodiversity, agriculture, and others.  SIAM is a program of mobility 
grants to cover air transportation and related travel expenses.  Each 
project should bring together at least one French partner and one Thai 
partner.  The application deadline is 05 July 2013 in France, and 15 July 2013 in Thailand. Link
