Application process
The Vienna Biocenter PhD programme application process is divided into two parts. Only online applications will be accepted. 
Part 1: Online application STEP 1 and STEP 2

Application form STEP 1 requires:
	* Personal information
	* Names and addresses of at least two referees
Please complete the STEP 1 form early enough to give your referees enough time to submit the letter of recommendation! You will then receive an e-mail with a URL address. Please keep this address safe. You can use it to 
complete the STEP 2 form during the application process. Furthermore, 
you will be able to follow the current status of your application.Application form STEP 2 requires:
	* File upload (Master's degree, Bachelor's degree, academic transcript etc.) 
PDF-format! (free online PDF converter)

	* Education specifications
Required qualifications:
Applicants must 
hold, or anticipate receiving before enrolment, a university degree that
 would formally qualify them to enter a PhD or equivalent programme in 
the country where the degree was obtained. 
Only .pdf files are allowed! (free online PDF converter)

Applicants admitted to the programme will have to register with the University of Vienna. 
Assessment and selection procedureApplicants will be assessed on the basis of their application and the letters of 
recommendation. Short-listed candidates will be invited for a five-day 
interview procedure in Vienna. We will reimburse round trip travel 
expenses and provide free accommodation. 
Summer Deadline – 30 April each year 
Interview Dates – first week of July
Winter Deadline – 15 November each year 
Interview Dates – last week of January
