Esri Eastern Africa, Tanzania Office is delighted to invite you to a workshop on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Non-profit Organizations which will be held on Monday 23 May, 2016 and Tuesday 24 May, 2016 at our office in Arusha.
Non-profit Organization work in diverse segments such as Health, Conservation, Food Security, Children's Rights, Community Development, Education, Humanitarian, Disaster Management etc. Irrespective of the segment a Non-profit Organization works in, its activities will typically entail field operations, monitoring and evaluation, logistics, reporting and citizen/constituent engagement. Undoubtedly decision making and the achievement of these activities require the collection, management, analysis and sharing of spatial data because these organizational activities are inherently locational.
It's inevitable therefore that Non-profit Organization must leverage GIS technology especially Web GIS to support their business functions and achieve their mandate, because GIS technology enables collection, management, analysis and sharing of spatial data. This workshop will discuss and show how Non-profit Organizations can use Web GIS to:

  *   Maximize the efficiency of their field workforce
  *   Leverage spatial analysis to make smarter, faster decisions in the office
  *   Share information and engage with citizens or constituents in the communities they serve
