[TZGISUG] national land use land cover datasets?

Hello,

Are there any national land use land cover data sets for Tanzania, Kenya or
other East African countries? There are global data sets like Globcover, or
the recently released 30m dataset
<http://www.globallandcover.com/GLC30Download/index.aspx> from China. Also,
there is at least 1 regional data set I've found via the FAO Africover
program although its from 2000. But are there any national level data sets
that I am overlooking? I found links to a 1980 land cover in Kenya
<http://192.156.137.110/gis/search.asp?id=288>and 2002 land cover in
Tanzania  <http://192.156.137.110/gis/search.asp?id=543>from ILRI. Any
others that people know of?
