[TZGISUG] Udzungwa summer school, tropical rainforest biodiversity, 24 august 6 september

Dear friends and colleagues,

 

Following the two successful editions held in 2011 and 2012, we are pleased
to announce the third edition of a Summer School titled "Tropical rainforest
biodiversity: field and GIS tools for assessing, monitoring and mapping" to
be held in the Udzungwa Mountains of Tanzania from August 24 to September 6,
2013. The school is organized by MUSE- Science Museum of Trento (Italy) and
the University of Trento in collaboration with the Danish Museum of Natural
History and Tanzania National Parks, and it will be based at the Udzungwa
Ecological Monitoring Centre, a field station of the Udzungwa Mountains
National Park.

 

The school is open to 15-20 international students and Ph.D. students in
relevant disciplines, and it will also be attended by students and
ecologists from Tanzania.
