13. March 1989 Tim Barners-Lee sent a proposal [1] to his bosses about
how to organize information better using computers, databases and network.
The idea for the World Wide Web was born.

Happy birthday!

But the www has several birthdays:
13. November 1990 with http://info.cern.ch was the first website online.

30. April 1993 Barners-Lee was allowed to make the CERN internal used
libwww public available.
