Today the Ubuntu project stopps like planned any support for: * Ubuntu 11.10 * Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop (Server is still supported until 2015) * Ubuntu 8.04 so if not done already: Upgrading The last non LTS version of Unbuntu with 18 months support is 12.10 All newer non LTS versions are supported for only 9 months.
