[ALUG] firefox help

Hi Ishmail/support,

Am running  ubuntu  8.04 on an old spec  laptop.

Please advice  on upgrading  firefox from v3 to  19, tried on software updates not available also  on  updater.

I managed to download  firefox-19.0.1.tar.bz2

tried changing home folder  and running  the file after extracting still not updating.

sudo mv Downloads/firefox /opt/ 
cd /opt/firefox/
./firefox

Please advice
