Might be a little short notice, but I figured this could be of interest to
some of you!

> Do you want to use your ninja python or CKAN skills to help kickstart the
open data movement in Tanzania?
>
> Open Knowledge and Code for Africa (www.CodeForAfrica.org) are looking
for avid CKAN or python developers with an aptitude for training, who'd
will be willing to share their skills at a five-day bootcamp in Dar es
Salaam between May 26 - 30.
>
> The intensive, hands-on bootcamp will train e-government officials, as
well as specialists from the education and water sectors. Participants will
be given an introduction to open data and data-driven citizen engagement,
and will then be shown how to begin using available technologies and tools.
>
> As a trainer, you'd work alongside a CKAN lead from Open Knowledge's
international team, as well as coders from CfAfrica's East African network.
Your participation will expose you to new ways for using python skills to
build better public engagement in digital democracies, and will also help
you get a better grasp on the potential for wider use of open data portals
like CKAN.
>
> Open Knowledge will cover all travel, accommodation and associated costs.
Trainers will also receive a day rate for their work.
>
> Anyone interested in applying should email anders.pedersen at okfn.org
