Good news for OpenOffice/LibreOffice and the Open Document Foundation:
Another government has chosen ODF as the standard format.
Bad news for Microsoft: Their proprietary document format is less and
less accepted.

All UK government offices are using from now PDF/A, HTML and ODF [1].
Quote from the policy paper [2]:
"The default format for saving government documents must be Open
Document Format (ODF)."

Altogether the UK government expects savings for citizens, company and
taxpayers by using open standards of over 1,2 billion Pound.
