[ALUG] What to do in November?

Great Zachariah! I think Introduction to Ruby/Rails it is.

As for what to cover, it's pretty free form so you have a lot of room to be
creative. I would consider things like:
1. Ruby is not a common language here so a little beginner's intro would be
great;
2. What a web framework is and why you should use on;
3. What's special/cool about Rails;
4. Maybe a little test app, like a blog post and comments, showing people
models, views, controllers.

We usually have about 1.5 - 2 hours, so a presentation could use up to an
hour and then have questions. Also ideally, you can post some instructions
or links to places for people to set up Ruby and Rails on their laptops so
they can be ready to follow along when you do create the little app.

I hope that's not too much but feel free to pick and choose, there are no
restrictions. Are you cool to do this last week of the month? We'll set a
date soon.
