*Message to the Arusha I.T Community*
As IT practitioners it is in all our interests to strengthen our community
and leverage it in different ways including solving local problems. So we
are thinking of having an open workspace in or within town with decent
internet connectivity where we can regularly meet and say build/stuff or
invite over a key presenter for each meet-up who will share something that
would be of interest and help people learn something they would work
towards.

This concept is not new to some of us and others have even seen examples of
this sort of idea take root in other regions of the world and have spurred
their communities to great heights of innovative localized solutions to
problem they faced.

Naturally before we can start putting that into motion we should work to
strengthen our community a bit more. As such a place will need some people
and funds to be able to set it up and maintain it. So while we could opt to
go looking for grants, corporate sponsors etc., we should at least try
initiating and trying running one of our own.

Regards
